Assignment Sheets Print E-mail
From my years of observation, I have found that one of the biggest challenges students have is remembering their homework assignments.   They may have the best intentions and write it down on a scrap of paper, but then put it in a pocket or backpack never to be seen again. Many of our students use the Agenda books we sell in to Student Store.  They are OK but don’t really have a lot of space to write both class work and homework, or long assignments. All students need a way to organize their schoolwork so it works for them.  In particular, many of our younger students and those with attention deficits find that simply using a daily Assignment Sheet allows them to manage their assignments using just one sheet of paper each day.

Following are two versions of Assignment Sheets you can print out and duplicate for your child.  One is front and back and provides space for up to five classes in a day.  It has lines for each class title and date, and space for both class and homework.  The second version is meant for just one subject.  The student would have one sheet for each subject each week.  It is one sided and has space for the three class meeting each week.  This is meant for a student who can manage a notebook with dividers for each subject.  In both versions there is a space for the teacher to indicate s/he has reviewed what the student has written for completeness and accuracy.

I designed these for students who were having difficulty remembering their assignments and after hearing from so many parents that their child reports daily that there was no homework that day.  This method gives parents a tool to closely monitor their child’s work on a daily basis.  Try one of them; you have nothing to lose, and your child might one day thank you for helping him or her get organized.
